The owners of this new seafood restaurant in Saint Augustine, Florida, are passionate about refurbishing antiques and injecting new life into old landmarks. To transform an old boat transom into the dining room's centerpiece, I used acrylic paint to create a rich faux wood finish. The bathroom vanity was a European antique salvaged by the owners. After some months and many coats of acrylic paint, the result is an elegant anchor for the breezy décor in the restaurant's restroom.
